I love finding new gadgets for my blog that are not only cool but that serve a function … like helping me blog better or something that helps me promote my blog.
I was visiting my friend Dawn’s blog (about Social Media and Isagenix <— a nutritional cleanse I’m using to lose weight) and while I was commenting I saw her awesome “Sharing is Sexy” plugin and I just had to have it!
It’s a social bookmark plugin that you can display on your posts and/or pages that easily allows your visitors to share your content (you can also use it to quickly bookmark your posts – which you should always do right?).
They have most all of the sites there to choose from and you can simply add the ones you want by checking a box. You then drag them into the order you want them to display in on your site.
So now for the real question … are you sexy? Go ahead … try it! Give me a Retweet, send my post to Facebook … Stumble, Digg … Mister Wong (ß—- one of my personal favs) … and leave me a comment and tell me just how sexy you are! *huGs* Suzanne

Sharing is sexy but not sure I like that interface as it half conceals the buttons. Hope it leads to more sharing for you Suzanne!

Hey Jorgen ~ Thanks for the valuable feedback. I know it minimizes them and I think it’s in case people opt to have a ton of the icons on there (I did two rows I believe) … but I do like how they pop up if you hoover when you’re near them. I’m curious … is it annoying to you because they look like only 1/2 or is it difficult to make out which icon it is? I tried to use the most recognized/used ones on the top row for that reason but it’s still valuable feedback … so now for the question … are you sexy? LOL well … did you? *SmiLes* Suzanne

I’m going away from the plugins and into hard-code. They look saweet! and better for the blog in certain ways…assuming ya don’t screw up the code. lol

You’re funny … and yes, they are great legs! I had a pic picked out that was much … sexier … but iStock wants like $25-$30 for any pic that’s got the tag “sexy” … I’m thinking I’m in the wrong business! LOL
I’ve never considered hard-coding my plugin functions … not sure I’m there “yet” but maybe some day …

What do you have to say?Hey Suzanne, I like the new look of your blog. I’ve seen the Sharing is Sexy on other blogs as well but never took the time to actually look into the plugin. The more ways to get your posts distributed the better. The only draw back I see is that you need to sign in to each site in order to submit. I did however Tweet twice (tweetmeme and the Tweet This and also stumbled. Those are the only passwords I still remember.
Does Isagenix work to improve memory?

Hey Luca ~ Thanks for the feedback on the new look … I’m liking it too … my awesome graphics girl (Chrissy – the first one to comment) does great work.
As for Isagenix … honestly, it really does help my mental clarity! I don’t sell it so I promise that’s my honest review of it. I feel great especially right after a cleanse (gets the toxins out of your body).
I hope you get some ideas from the eBook … some might be basic to you but hopefully I’ll surprise you with some of it

I’ve been using this plug-in for quite a while and I must say that it is plenty useful for me. The technique is to use only the really popular ones and not to hide it.

Sweet plugIn; thx for that. When building a drupal site the other day I could only choose from about three buttons for Social Bookmarks or add like 100 without being able to pick only the ones I wanted.
I’m still fairly new to building pages so this might be helpful.

It is most essential to have plug-ins for sharing on your site, if you don’t then its almost not worth it.
I have seen and used that plug in right from its start.Actually this plug in started as “Sharing is Caring” but somehow someone used his creativity to change it to “Sharing is Sexy”.Though its name has changed but its important and vitality in blog promotion has ever increased by leaps and bounds.Even today I use this plug in on most of my blogs.

I agree. There are several cool plugins for sharing that are a lot better than doing it yourself. Most support more sites than you could ever maintain on your own and have better and slicker code that most bloggers could write on their own.
Don’t be afraid to put it at the top and bottom of your posts too.
I`m a big fan of social media and I think that this plugin is very pretty.

There’s no question about Social media’s power. And it’s free! It just makes perfect sense to share whenever you create content. We wouldn’t want to cross our fingers and hope that someone comes across our site, would we? Sharing via social media increases your potential of being reached. Yes, sharing is definitely sexy!
