Wow! Kids went back to school today and I have such mixed feelings.
We had such a fun summer and I never wanted it to end.
The flip side is that with kids gone in school I will be able to focus my attention on my work and not be so distracted.
I’ve put up a slide show below with some of our summer fun and I hope you enjoy it.
Do you juggle kids and work during the summer? Have yours gone back to school yet? Are you bummed or are you ready to get down to business? I’d love to hear your comments. *SmiLes* Suzanne

I’m sad
i don’t have any kids that are in school, but my fiance’ is a teacher so i will be missing her! She’s also going back to college to get her master’s sooo, i guess that’ll give me a couple of nights alone to work on the BANS and my Blog’s! I guess also with fall and then winter coming up, there won’t be as much “outside time” so being cooped up inside will give me more time to work as well.. but i guess you don’t have to worry about that in TEXAS huh? haha now get to work WAHM!

Hey you! That must be sad after having her to yourself all summer! ;( Your blog is great … and now I know better than to be clicking on any … uhhhh … mating giraffes! LOL As for Texas, we do have a very long “summer” here so we spend a lot of time in the water and out on the boat. Actually, a lot of those pictures are from some traveling we did to Sacramento and San Diego ~ we had a blast! As for the “bad memory” I have one of those too … pulled a muscle in my … well … across my “chest” and it hurt like h%#@! Old age has officially set in!
As for BANS, maybe we should throw down a little friendly “challenge” for each other for September?! Now … YOU get back to work Gramps! *huGs* S

It was a great summer for us, but a bit sad. My oldest just started school and I guess I wanted to make it a memorable summer. Not sure if we did, but we tried. I try to get out of work as much as possible or get there early so I can get out earlier. That way we can have the whole afternoon to spend together. I love summer time with my kids. Can’t wait for next summer.

Hey Betty … great to see you here! I’ve enjoyed reading some of Trey’s blog (http://slashbe.com/) and I’ll have to go check yours out too. It’s been so quiet here without kids … I miss them already. We are heading up to Inks Lake for the weekend with a bunch of friends (I believe we’re neighbors … I’m in Bulverde) so that will be great for the kids … kind of like an extension of summer in a way. Trust me, I still remember when my oldest (he’s 12 now) started kindergarten … it almost killed me! Sadly, it gets a little easier each year.
Do stay in touch any time … or let’s meet at Beefy’s with the kids some time
