<—— A quick reminder to Retweet if you enjoy the post … Thanks!
So in my post, Brainstorming Your Business – Finding Your Passion (Part 1 – Video Tutorial), we looked at all of the things that make you happy and that you really enjoy in life.
Today we’re going to take a look at any problems you’re having in your life (or have had). You want to especially think about topics that you think of that you would go search the internet looking for answers and/or solutions.
This could be a parenting issue, how to get rid of debt, a medical issue … or how to get a stain out of clothing or carpet.
Again, don’t try to second guess anything about the topic – just write down everything that comes to mind. You can analyze these topics and ideas later. It’s best to just write down everything that comes to mind.
OK … watch the video and see what you come up with.
Was this harder than you thought? Was it a good exercise or do you feel like it sent you off into the wrong direction? Don’t be upset … just do the exercise and we’ll discuss each of your lists in the next lesson. Let us hear from you! *SmiLes* Suzanne

You’re welcome ~ it’s a great exercise and a lot of people jump into the first business idea they have and then wonder why it doesn’t flourish and become successful … it’s very possible that they don’t have a passion for the topic and so it feels too much like “work” when they go to work on it. LOL …

Hey Suzanne,
I love the fact that you’re starting this make money online tutorial right at the beginning. We sometimes get so caught up in the technical stuff that we forget the basics. It’s so easy to get off track in this business that doing a little homework like you’ve laid out in your tutorial can get us back on track and even give us ideas for new sites. This is a really refreshing tutorial.
Hmmmm do I have any problems?? oh ya – starting my list now.

Hi Luca ~ I love this exercise! I have some niche sites that I can’t stand working on because I have no interest in the topic whatsoever LOL … if I’d go by my lists I’m certain I could find topics that would still make great niche stores and that would make it a lot more fun to do the work that’s necessary … I’ve had “problems” that I’ve become very passionate about … my house fire for instance … and I know I could truly help others by sharing the information I’ve gathered and by sharing my experiences with insurance and such … so even though it’s not a “happy” passion … I still feel very passionate about the subject – Make sense? Glad you enjoyed it … more to come on the subject. *huGs*

Hi Kate ~ Thanks for your comment and I hope your friend finds her way over here. I’d love to help in any way … and at one point I vowed I would NEVER go back to a job that I couldn’t stand … so I hate that for her. *huGs* for being a good friend

Luca brings up a very valuable point which you do handle quite well. Not starting from the beginning is whee the “big” fall flat. They take too much for granted forgetting that they didn’t know anything at one time either.

LOL … I wish I’d know to follow this advice before I started several of my niche stores LOL … I have NO interested in the subject matter for many of them so I can’t stand to work on them. They will never be as successful as they could be because I don’t want to do the necessary writing or promoting for them and I’m forced to hire it out if I want to more forward. *sigh* I will try to follow these lessons from here forward myself!
