Niche Store Earnings January, February, and March 2011

It’s that time … time for me to update you on the progress and profits from my niche stores. Since I last wrote, I have built a handful of new stores (with the help of an outsourcer) and I’m really glad I did. They are all indexed nicely and starting to perform well.

If you recall in my last niche store update I mentioned that I was going to basically duplicate my existing niches and stores and that’s what I decided to do. There were some stores that Google just did not like so most all of the traffic was from Yahoo and Bing. With these new stores it seems almost the opposite – I’m doing great in Google and not so well with Yahoo and Bing *sigh* So goes the story of trying to figure out what the search engines really want right?!

I also decided to try some classified advertising (I’ve use USFree Ads in the past) and that seems to have produced some nice traffic too.

So on to my profits: 

January 2011: $608.68

February 2011: $495.96

March 2011: $1,188.16

In my next niche store update I will tell you about some issues I’ve run into in my SEO/backlinking efforts … it’s always a learning experience isn’t it? LOL *SmiLes* Suzanne

US Free Ads – Great for Traffic and Backlinks

One of the methods I use to promote my various sites and products is US Free Ads. They are a classified ads site and I use them for both traffic and for backlinks.

They offer three different types of membership – a free membership, a gold membership, and a premium membership.

After reviewing the tools and features that are included with the premium membership (like HTML code, ability to upload multiple images for each ad, links back to your website (or webpage), you can insert PayPal buttons, you can set up your ads to renew automatically, advertise an unlimited number of items or services, and much more) I decided to go with the premium membership.

The free is obviously free, the Gold is $10.00 per year, and the Premium is $9.99 per month.

I was given a hint before I signed up so I’ll do the same for you. If you sign up for the Gold membership they will ask you if you’d like to upgrade to the Premium membership for only $6.99 per month ($3.00 monthly discount).

The free membership is for private, non-commercial use and is much more restrictive. I don’t feel it’s suitable for promoting your online business.
