It’s that time again where I share my EPN (eBay Partner Network) earnings with you and I’ve been about the same for this time period (with the exception of last month which was up slightly).
The newest numbers are:
May $660.12
June $691.61
July $576.91
August $798.90
I don’t have much to report since I haven’t added any new stores and haven’t done any advertising or new promoting for the sites.
The one thing I did do is I paid my favorite graphics gal, Chrissy – Christa Jensen Designs, to give each site a makeover with new headers and to update the color scheme. Some of these sites looked horrible before so I’m certain it was worth every penny to have this done. I know it will increase the time spent on my sites and I believe it will also improve my click through rates (thus more profit for me).
I still have people asking me if they should do a BANS (Build a Niche Store) business and that’s hard for me to answer. There are a lot of products out now to assist you with setting up niche affiliate stores and I’m not sure BANS is a place I would start.
As an alternative you might consider your own information product. In fact, I am getting ready to launch my first ever information product (an eBook in one of my non-internet marketing niches) and I can’t wait to get it to market. If you’ve been interested in possibly doing your own information product you should check out The Info Product Model. It’s from the guys who started BANS so it’s top quality information for a very low price (under $100 bucks during the launch period – I wish it had been available when I started this process *sigh*).
Sorry I’ve been laying low on the blog here but that eBook has been taking up most all of my time and I think it’s going to do very well for my business. I’ll keep you posted once I get it to market and then I can share the process I used … what works and what I would change to do over again. I envy that stats. How long did it take you to achieve that amount passively? and through how many sites? I’m actually getting much interested with EPN now, thanks to you LOL. I’m more into clickbank and amazon these past few months (on my personal blog), and it really is hard to compete with those who have already established their money pages.

Hi Jason ~ I’ve been doing niche sites for a few years and my earnings have been pretty steady (with some variance when eBay has changed their payout structure). Are your sites true “niche” sites? Does each site focus on only one product line? How far down do you drill for your keywords? For me that’s been key and I’m happy to help you if you want to shoot me an email. I do a little bit with Clickbank and Amazon but not a whole lot these days. Let me know how I can help … sometimes you just need to make some minor tweaks to make a huge difference. *huGs* S

For me it really depends on your niche. I like to choose products that are something people will spend their money on … for instance my son did a site on corn snakes and although he’s done great SEO and comes up #1 for all of his terms it’s a lot of kids doing research and they don’t have MONEY to buy anything so lesson learned there LOL. eBay is definitely one way but don’t forget to look at all options: PepperJam, Clickbank, Amazon, etc. and don’t put all of your eggs in one basket.

This is impressive. I have never tried the ebay partner network. I have been using amazon for a long time now, and i have had results close to yours, but not on a regular basis. I may add this to my site along with the amazon and see if i get a little more.
How does it work? Arent the ebay products always changing?

NIche blogging is probably the way to go. No sense trying to profit against the big boys. Plenty of small markets out there to conquer. Nice job fitting in.

I’m really surprised at these numbers. Congrats on them. I’m not into ebay very much anymore, but it’s good to see that other people are having luck with it.
I never really got into the build a niche store model though I have heard of people making good money with it. Seems like you’ve got a model that works. Ebay’s certainly got the trust to bring in the sales.
