Facebook Twitter Status Update Client – Add Your Tweets to FaceBook

by Suzanne on January 30, 2009

Add Your Tweets To Facebook (or MySpace, Blogger, etc.)

If you’re using Twitter (which you should be) and Facebook (which you should be LOL) you might want to use the setting on Twitter that will automatically change your status on Facebook by inserting your latest tweet.

Now … if you’re the type who tweets what you’re doing every two minutes or you’re very active on Twitter than you might annoy your Facebook friends with hundreds of updates a day so do keep that in mind.

Quick Steps:

  1. Go to Twitter
  2. Click on Settings (at the top of the page)
  3. Go to “More Info URL” and look below for the blue text in parentheses – “You can also add Twitter to your site here” and click on that blue text
  4. Choose the site where you want to add your Twitter updates and then follow the instructions there

Watch this video for some quick, easy instructions:

So … are you on Twitter? Are you following me there? Are you on Facebook? Are you following me there? Let’s here your comments. *SmiLes* Suzanne

I was wondering how to do this. Do you know if you can still use the Facebook status once you add Twitter to FB? Guess I could just go do it and find out LOL

Thanks for a great video (your voice was a bit low even after I turned up the volume). Just an FYI. Thanks

Another useful posts from you. But seems to me now a days every social networking websites are complimenting each other very well.

Recently when I logged into Squidoo than I also saw a message about their service at facebook. So they are connecting each other and you just have to update at one place.

Saving our time and energy as well.

Hi Suzanne, just sent you a message through your contact form about what you use for your videos.

Wanted to say great post–I originally hooked up Twitter and Facebook to update my status a while ago but turned it off because I have a little Twitter addiction, teehee. :) It was updating too much!

I now use FriendFeed and have it post all my social media activities to my wall that way, it works a bit better for me and is less obtrusive.

Glad to find your blog!

I use Twitter for virtual friends and Facebook for my real friends and ‘some’ trusted virtual friends. The reason I do this is because I don’t like to give much details about myself on the internet. Anyway, Good article Suzanne :) Cheers!

Heys, not sure if this help’s but no harm posting. Had problems with selective posting and account mixups. Found my solution with this guy’s tutorial:

http://cogito.faii.net/linking-facebook-to-twitter-tutorial/

He details using this other app that helps post selectively only.

However he says it doesn’t work if your twitter feed is on private/safe mode.

Cheers and hope it helps!

This is another example how twitter is growing strong day by day. Sometime I worried about twitter growth as people started to talking about Google and Twitter face to face and many photos also coming to the market … by twitter spreading their wings and hiding logo of Google.

I also heard that Google is trying to buy Twitter as well … So another billion dollars deal is going to sign.

@ コンタクトレンズ

What is the reason of your worried mate. When success never come alone with that responsibility and tension also come. So only those people can survive who knows hows to tackle them and how to solve them.

Thousands of people (or may be more than that) are on twitter and enjoying this. So stop worrying and enjoy the show.

This is really cool especially if you have a person Facebook and Twitter account. However, I think the people on Facebook are more into the things you do rather than many status updates. Twitter is good for many updates but with Facebook, you have to put photos, write notes, etc for people to be interested with what you are doing.
