Guru Roundup ~ Let’s See Which Gurus Support Suzanne Franco as the Next Blogging Idol
Well … for those who don’t know I’m a contestant in this season’s Blogging Idol contest held by Daniel Scocco of Daily Blog Tips.
Over 120 bloggers are competing to earn the title, “Blogging Idol,” and I really, really want to win this thing.
There will be 7 points awarded: for highest gain in RSS subscribers, for reader votes, and given out by 3 judges.
I’ve stayed in the top 10 for the RSS gain portion and the way I see it … “It’s not over til it’s over.” I‘ve had a steady increase since day one of the contest where others have had very large dips in their subscriber numbers. I’ve always said, “Slow and steady wins the race” and I have a feeling this will be no exception to that rule.
Each of the judges will each be awarding a point to the blogger who they feel has used, “the most clever and effective strategy for gaining RSS subscribers and for promoting the blog.”
So here’s the deal … I’ve invited a handful of internet marketing “Gurus” to stop by and watch a video asking them to support me in my quest to become the next Blogging Idol and let’s see which of these gurus we can “lasso in.”
I want you, my readers, to comment below and let me know who you think will actually (a) come by and watch the video, (b) who will comment in this post, (c) who will subscribe to my RSS feed, and (d) who will actually tell their subscribers to support me as the next Blogging Idol. Also, if you feel this is a ”clever strategy” … please be sure to mention that to the judges in your comment below.

In regard tot he email thing, it may not matter at all… but I would list them as: john -AT- domain.com (spacing and removing the @ sign) just to throw the harvester bots off a bit.

I’m under an Internet rock because I don’t know those guys–so I can’t make an educated vote. But you’ve just talked me into checking all of them out–a nice favor to all of them. So it seems the least they can do is return some of that nice karma and visit your site.

Suzanne, again, you’re generous spirit inspires me. I really admire your strategy for generating traffic to your site. You’ve managed to give, firstly of your time by creating and generating this contest, sharing your valuable resources and I’m certain the dividends from your actions will be both wide and deep.
I’ve started visiting the blogs and I’m gathering remarkable tools with regards to resources I needed for projects for myself and clients.
My plate is very full at the moment, but I plan to visit each “Guru”, heck, I’d be foolish not to take advantage of this principally targeted source.

I want this blog to become a community of people helping people … so that if one of us needs a fresh new idea or a solution to a problem … I can blog about it and we can all jump in and help … let me know if you have something along those lines so “we” can help.
