HostGator ~ The Very Best Hosting On the Planet!

If you have a website (much less several) you may or may not know how important good, no, make that GREAT, hosting is to your business and your sanity! If you are not nodding in agreement right now then you probably haven’t (yet) been a victim of malicious hackers, had problems uploading website files, been told that your site pages load slowly … or worse yet, that you site is down for no good reason …

Well, I’m going to give it to you straight … if none of these things have happened to you yet – you are either very lucky or you too have found an awesome hosting company. A few months ago I switched everything over to HostGator and I’m not over exaggerating when I say that it has changed my life. I was miserable.

I was with IX Webhosting and I can’t tell you how many problems I had over a year and a half to two year period. I was hacked constantly, had missing files almost every time I tried to ftp files to my sites, and had files (important files) just dumped without warning every time their server got “full” or overloaded. The worst part of all was that instead of offering a helping hand and some consolation they would tell me it was somehow my fault … every single time!

In stark contrast, HostGator has been super helpful and all representatives have had such patience while dealing with me and my hundreds of questions … they even wrote a script to clean up all of the malicious code that had been injected into most all of my website files.

I you aren’t 100% satisfied with the hosting you have now or are in the market for the very best hosting company on the Planet … you’ve got to check out HostGator today! You won’t be sorry and I’m very proud to put my name behind them.

I personally use their “baby” plan which offers unlimited domain name hosting, unlimited sub-domains, unlimited MySql databases, unlimited pop3 accounts, web mail, email alias, auto responders, mailing lists, Fantastico (for one-click installation of WordPress blogs – sweet!), and much much more. The cost for the “baby” plan is only $9.95 per month and you can get a discount if you opt for a pre-paid package.

Go Check Out HostGator’s Site and Their Plans Right Now!

You won’t be sorry … (they’ll even help you move your site over to their service for free!).

Who do you use for hosting? Have you had any problems with a host before? Were they helpful? Tell us about your hosting experiences … the good, the bad, and the ugly! *SmiLes* Suzanne

Hey Suzanne, other then a brief stint with Godaddy’s “Website Tonight” I’ve exclusively used and recommended HG also, since the very beginning.

I never recommended WT.

I saw you on WAHM (I’m not a wahm lol), and browsed your blog a bit. Some nice stuff here, so I’ve subscribed :)

Hi Dennis ~ It’s great to have you here! I’m very familiar with you over on WAHM … you always have sound advice and are a great contributor. I’ve been on there for years but had some issues getting logged on with my original user name … so I “started over” so to speak. LOL

I am so happy with HostGator. I’m very picky about who I will promote and put my name behind and they are just such a class act … I would put any member of my family on their service without hesitation.

Come by any time and I’ll do the same! *SmiLes* Suzanne

I totally agree.

Have used 3 web hosts for a few years now and have alerts in place when any site goes down. Hostgator has been the most reliable by far.

Their online help is pretty good too.

I like to make updates whenever possible about things I’ve blogged about and I must say that HostGator still amazes me! I called them yesterday with a list of questions and I can’t get over how patient and knowledgable they are … every last one of them. This type of customer service most always comes from the top … so it’s just plain great management/ownership. If anything does ever go otherwise I will report here too. *SmiLes* Suzanne

It’s really hard to say, but most bigger web hosting companies tend to shy away from their customers in the long run – they have so many rules and regulations that you can’t even breathe. Not to mention they oversell their resources like mad candy.

Hostgator hosts so many websites not by luck. They offer superb support at an unbeatable price. Unfortunately, as many web hosting providers of that size, suffer from slow reflexes. They are unaware of new technologies and platforms that arise each day. Most of the times when you have installed on your web hosting account a specific cms (like joomla) and ask a question they will advise you to ask at your scripts website. I don’t like this at all. On the other hand their web hosting servers are updated with the latest versions of php, apache and cgi, their support team is almost perfect and their offerings with each plan are extraordinary. Soon they will dominate web hosting industry, just like goddady does for years.

I’ve used Hostgator a bunch of times and been impressed with their online chat service on evening hours and weekends. Now that I have had lots of sites I use HostNexus becasue they are a lot cheaper. They have email support so they don’t have dozens of chat operators… they do have 24 x 7 support and usually 1 hour resolution for big problems. Host Gator has a sub company called SEOHosting and they sell hosting in blocks where you can get 5 different unique IP addresses at a time. There are real advantages ti using a unique IP address… you are much more likely to not get mistakenly though of as being a member of a “bad community” if your site is on it’s own IP address. With regular shared hosting you could be 1 of hundreds of thousands of other sites sharing the same IP.

There’s so much fuzz about this Host Gator. I want to try it too. It’s been 3 years and HG maintains its reputation.
