How I’m Going to Win This Season’s Blogging Idol Contest!
I’ve put a lot of thought into the strategies I’ll be using to win this season’s Blogging Idol contest and I’m going to share them with you right here on my blog. At first I thought I’d be all secretive about my game plan so that my competitors wouldn’t “steal” any of my great ideas but I’ve since reconsidered.
The whole purpose of my blog is to teach others how I make money online … through my successes, my mistakes, and the hurdles I’ve had to overcome. By sharing the techniques I’m using in the Blogging Idol competition I hope I’ll be helping many others (yes, even my competitors) learn how to drive traffic, gain subscribers, and how you can find your own “voice” on the internet.
I’ll be trying to post learning techniques and ideas each day throughout November and I’ll be looking to you, my readers, for support as well. If you have any post ideas or topics you’d like to see (or if you’d like to guest post) just let me know!
I’ve come up with some pretty funny ideas … so stick around and join in on all the fun … you won’t want to miss it! *SmiLes* Suzanne

Hi … My name is Suzanne Franco (Land) and I’m a wife (newlywed actually) and mother to 5 amazing kids (my 3 and his 2 – ages 9 to 16) and we live in the Texas Hill Country where we try to spend a lot of time in the water (river, boating, wakeboarding, the beach, etc.) and running from one kid’s sporting event to the other (mainly football, cheerleading, and soccer).

Hey Suz! Hehe Good luck in the contest! I’m all about the help and serve as well, but I might have saved my “tips” ’till after….same effect really and ya don’t shoot yerself in the foot. LOL
I got 3 tips for ya which do believe are at least a real good portion responsible for a serious surge in subscribers recently (not to mention an unbelievable surge in comments)…
1. Your RSS subscribe above the fold. You already have that, so that was for your readers.
Possibly even a little subscribe feature below each article, which I have on my to-do list.
2. The “Call To Action” – Everyone advocates a call to action at the end of the article, which IS a MUST, don’t get me wrong…BUT, it is much better served as a *reinforcement* to the call of action you start at the beginning…
And by this I mean…..RIGHT SMACK IN THE SUBJECT LINE…..no foolin’ here. I think many bloggers would be surprised at how many titles you can easily turn into a question for readers….. draw them in, then reinforce it.
3. Blog commenting on CommentLuv enabled blogs. See where I’m going with this?
Trust me.
Oh, enabling commentluv here as well should boost readership quite a bit as well….this is a proven fact

I like how positive you are in wanting to help other people. I esp like your audio clip because it’s personal and real.
Perhaps you can do a post on branding and how to be consistent with it with online marketing.

Here is something I’ve been wanting to know more about and want to know how to go about it in a “professional” way. Drawings and giveaways are huge in the blogging world, and I want to get in on the fun. I want to offer products and things that my readers would be interested in, but don’t know exactly how to approach manufacturers. Especially where I’m a new blog (only up since July) and I’m still trying to increase my traffic to impressive numbers, how could I get a company to agree to give some of their products away on my little blog?

Hi! Actually, I have been invited by other contestants in which some of them are my friends. I have been studying them, but have not yet decided. For sure, I will not vote for my friend if I think that he’s not deserving.
As I noticed so far, I can feel your eagerness to win and you have a good fight. I think you have a quality of being a winner. Your blog is simple, but your posts are informative and clear. I used to be annoyed when someone’s talking from the blog while I am reading his/her posts. But you sounded so clear and sincere.
To be honest with you, I cannot promise you right now that I will vote for you . However, I subscribe to you through RSS and email although I prefer the latter. Please check if I did right for the RSS. For the record, I did not subscribe to you because of the contest. I did it because it is a great value-add to me.
