On today’s audio message Anthony and I discusss how we actually do our audio recordings … and we talk about the upcoming posts we are getting ready for you.
We are using Skype to call each other via the computer (an IP connection) using the internet … one computer IP address calling the other computer. Pretty cool huh? Then Anthony found a free software for us, PowerGramo, which we use to record the phone calls. When we’re done I save the recording into a .wav file (one of the options with the software). Then I import the audio into a program that creates the player (I can choose the size, style and color for the player) and that’s what I upload to the site. Obviously these steps are a bit more complicated than this … and I’d be happy to do a more detailed post if anyone is interested in adding audio on their blog.
First thing this morning I ran into a problem getting images to align on the blog so I decided to do a screen capture video of how I fixed the issue. I hope to be posting that for you tomorrow.
Also, I’ve been emailing back and forth with one of our readers, Julie, and she’s given us permission to share those emails. I answer various questions for her and I’m hoping it will be helpful for others so we’ll be posting them all here on the blog. (Thanks Julie!)
The next issue is the poll we’ve got here on the blog … so far we’ve had a bit of each answer but the majority of you checked that you have a site/blog in a niche other than the make money online niche. That’s exciting for us as we’d love to help you fine tune your keyword research and possibly take a look at your competition and such. If you’re reading this and you haven’t taken the poll yet would you please do so? It will really help us provide the best teaching content here on the blog (for you!). Link to the Poll
Hope everyone is doing well … please send us your questions and let us know if we have permission to post the Q & A’s here on the blog so we can help others as well. Let us hear from you in the comments! *SmiLes* Suzanne
P.S. We’ve added the Tweet Meme plugin … it’s the button at the very top left of each post that allows you to easily retweet the post and we’d appreciate your help in sharing suzannefranco.com with your Twitter friends. Thanks!
P.P.S. Oh yeah … Anthony and I laugh every time my headset gets brought up … someone stepped on it and I taped it back together … well the tape hurt my head so I taped over that with a bandaid LOL and now the earphone part isn’t working so I sit with the headset for the microphone … and then plug my earphones to my MP3 player into the other ear … I’m a sight for sure … Anthony talked me into posting the pic I sent him from the day my hair got all tangled in the “broken piece” … so … we’d love for you to send us pictures of you in your office or work space to post here on the blog … might be a fun way to get to know each other right?

Hey Suz, sorry this is so OT. My apologies for being gone so long but my current post describes it a bit. I’m ready now to re-subscribe and get back into your awesome blog! Slowly at first until I get full swing again.
OK doing a downward scroll tells me I need to re0subscribe FAST…seems I’ve missed some good stuff!

Hey Dennis … You’ve been soooo missed! Here an on your blog and around the blogosphere! I hope you’re feeling better … I can’t wait to see your “new” blog and watch you get yourself “back” … Yes, it’s been exciting around here … You’d love my new business partner, Anthony – he’s “good people” … much like you. *huGs*
P.S. I own you an email reply
Hey Suzanne,
I love screen capture videos. I’ve started doing some for my site as well. I used to do them over and over again until I had it right but now I just roll and post with flubs and mistakes – hey we’re all human right and it gives my readers something to laugh about too. So yes, showing us how you do things via video will help us all.
Anthony great to hear your voice as well from sunny Florida. I’m in Toronto Canada and it’s starting to get cold here but no snow yet.
I’ll think of some questions for your Q & A and get back to you.

Luca ~ I’ve seen you’re doing more video that awesome! I’m not very fast at editing … especially with all of the pan/zoom thing. *sigh* But I’m getting faster and the more I use it the faster it comes to me. We’d love to get some more questions – it’s a fun part of the “job” *huGs*
Luca,
It’s still hot here in Florida 90′s today. Suzanne and I might have to find our way to Toronto! We can’t wait to see your questions!
I use Skype and PowerGramo, as well. I really enjoyed your picture of your headset. Mine is almost in as bad of shape. Yet I used electrical tape, and have got it caught in my mess of a hair.
You both have a very good presentation voice. This blog is really great!
Hey Megan ~ Thanks for your comment. What are you recording? Are you working with someone or interviewing people? I’d love to hear more … Yea … my husband ordered me a new headset so we’ll see how I like it once it arrives. *SmiLes*
I love videos and audio postcasts in blogs. There’s much more you can say or describe when using them!

Jill … I really do like doing them to … it’s fun and I know I enjoying listening and watching on other blogs so we’d like to do more of it here too. *huGs*
P.S. Give us some ideas on what you’d like to hear or see k?
Skype is indeed of the most used programs for video / phone calling. PowerGramo, on the other hand, is something new to me. I’ve always wondered how I can record conversations (legally of course) into websites. This can especially be useful to share “interviews” to followers. Great stuff!
