Niche Store Earnings January, February, and March 2011
It’s that time … time for me to update you on the progress and profits from my niche stores. Since I last wrote, I have built a handful of new stores (with the help of an outsourcer) and I’m really glad I did. They are all indexed nicely and starting to perform well.
If you recall in my last niche store update I mentioned that I was going to basically duplicate my existing niches and stores and that’s what I decided to do. There were some stores that Google just did not like so most all of the traffic was from Yahoo and Bing. With these new stores it seems almost the opposite – I’m doing great in Google and not so well with Yahoo and Bing *sigh* So goes the story of trying to figure out what the search engines really want right?!
I also decided to try some classified advertising (I’ve use USFree Ads in the past) and that seems to have produced some nice traffic too.
So on to my profits:
January 2011: $608.68
February 2011: $495.96
March 2011: $1,188.16
In my next niche store update I will tell you about some issues I’ve run into in my SEO/backlinking efforts … it’s always a learning experience isn’t it? LOL *SmiLes* Suzanne

Congratulations are in order. I’ve always thought of outsource some of my work but was reluctant because I hear horror stories. Any tips you can give me so don’t get scam when I’m outsourcing?

Congratulations Suzanne, its a great achievement and this is what success is all about, it makes us yearn for more. SEO is like a vast subject and its just not possible to come to a conclusion that we’ve mastered in SEO. As you say, ‘learning through experiences’ running a site or a blog is a learning process.
If you have managed to kick out a grand a month, they you are doing something right regardless of where your traffic has come from. I think niche/ebay type stores are my next experiment after affiliate marketing. It sounds like fun and I appreciate the tips. double strollers for infant and toddler is moving ahead as a project, but slowly – seems to take 3 to 4 months to get them up and running. Again, thanks for the tips.

Great March 2011 earnings.. 4 figures.. I also earn from blogging through ads on my site. But I must say that I need lots of traffic in order to get a nice income.

Right. One of our sites was #1 in Yahoo last year, but literally nowhere to be found on Google. Now we’re rising on Google and sinking on Yahoo. Still you must be doing something right – your graph certainly looks promising!
