Party Plan/Direct Sales/MLM (Multi-Level Marketing). Most of us are familiar with the direct sales/party plan business model and it’s certainly a viable option to make some money from home. It’s a great way to jump in an own your own business without the investment and risk involved with starting your own business from the ground up.
The investment is usually under $200 and should give you most of the tools you need to get your business up and running. Most will offer representative replicated websites for free or for an affordable rate giving you an instant online presence too.
Another benefit is that you will have other representatives who will train and mentor you as you start your business and you’ll have access to company training and sales tools as well.
Believe it or not, on my WAHM 2 WAHM site we have over 300 companies listed that fall into this category with product lines ranging from cosmetics and skin care to wine … travel companies to candles … pet supplies … to “green” companies … and literally everything in between.
My suggestion is to make a list of everything that you have a passion for i.e. wine, travel, candles, dogs, investing, babies, books, etc. and then you can go to WAHM 2 WAHM and search by keyword and see what companies are out there to have a look at. We also offer tips on what to look for in not only a company but also how to select a sponsor (mentor) who is a match for your personality type.

Starting your home business with an MLM can be an incredibly beneficial tool for any woman entrepreneur who doesn’t want to necessarily spend a fortune starting their own home business, and once they do, it’s so easy to advertise her business through virtual word of mouth. So many great websites are dedicated to entrepreneurs looking for advice and tips to help these women along the way. One thing that makes the internet so great is that it’s truly an “equal playing field” for both genders in business. It’s the best tool a starting entrepreneur can utilize in the journey to success. I’ve been using the new Office Live Small Business by Microsoft, have you heard of it? It’s basically a one-stop shop that keeps all my business e-mails and invoices in order, I can check traffic stats for my website, and design professional webpages without any HTML experience (and I’m terrible with that stuff!).

Multi level marketing is a form of business practice that receives or has received a fair amount of bad press and to be honest in some cases justifiably so.
When I first came online I was drawn to mlm because the way the compensation plan sounded, you know the you get 2 and they get 2 and so on….and from that you could be be earning 100k a month. Sad fact of the matter those compensation plans are smoke and mirrors, although it sound s so easy 90% of people in the company never sponsor over 2 people and so the compensation plan becomes invalid.
MLM is a real business, problem is people don’t treat it like one.

I have to agree with mlm contact management. The low start-up cost, flexibility of scheduling and “share with friends” concepts behind most mlm/network marketing companies may be construed by some as an “easy” way to make money. A more accurate statement is, that if you find the right company with the right product(s) and the right plan for you, achieving success can be “simple”….but you still need to apply yourself. After all…it is called NetWORK Marketing….not NetPLAY Marketing….just my 2 cents

keep in mind that direct sales ususally require more money upfront but the profit margins are usually higher
If i were to start a new mlm business, I would choose direct sales over traditional mlm
My problem is that I write for others and I don’t seem to have a clue what I would start a blog about. There are so many useless blogs out there for people who I guess are lonely and need to vent or get noticed.
I don’t want to become one of those people but need to advertise myself somehow, and let others see what I write about when I am not getting paid.
Oh Well.
The MLM business model is so sound, that even Donald Trump is getting involved. It’;s time to take notice.
