Way to Go and Vote! You’re Awesome! And Some Details About the Drawing …

You guys are awesome! You ROCK! In a fight to the finish … I landed in 3rd place in the voting portion of the Blogging Idol contest which gives me a much needed point in the competition.

Now we just wait for the judges to vote (Monday) for who they feel used the most “clever” strategies to gain RSS subscribers and to promote their blog. I gave it my all in this category so all I can do is hope for the best. If you want to have your say you can go to Daily Blog Tips and leave a comment about why you think I have earned the title, Blogging Idol.

The contest/drawing here on my blog is going really well and I can’t wait to see who wins the awesome prizes. Many of you emailed me your entry and I need you to comment on the contest/drawing post to be entered into the drawing. I will need you to do this by Sunday, November 30, 2008 by midnight EST. If you have any questions or don’t know how to do so please let me know using the contact us page.

Thank you all so much for your amazing support of my quest to become the next Blogging Idol … it means the world to me. I hope I win the title and make you all very proud of me. *SmiLes* Suzanne

Hey Suzzane,
I just stopped by to see if there was an update. You did really well so far but I have a feeling that you’ll win the creative way to increase RSS feed. It’s impressive that you got the big Guru’s to tkae notice and to give you some well deserved exposure.
What ever happens I’ll continue to read your blog.
Now I need to start woking on my own Internet Marketing – I plan to start posting more often.
The only problem is that my full time business always gets in the way.

Take care and good luck

I agree with Luca – the way you used your RSS and how you encouraged voters to help you was awesome in itself.

And even if you don’t win, you’ll ALWAYS have your fans right here! :)

@ luca ~ thank you for your kind words and encouragement! I sure hope the judges see things the way you do. The guy who is “leading” did indeed get substantially more subscribers … but he started with 150,000 page views in October 2008 … to my 4,000! He also started the contest with 1,468 subscribers to my 52 … his increase was approximately 80% and mine was over 1,000% … not bad huh? LOL
From what I can tell … his strategies were pretty basic … new RSS button, pop-up box, placement of subscription forms, etc. I personally think my idea was “clever” and not ordinary … but I’m not a judge. ;) If you want to have your say be sure to go to: http://www.dailyblogtips.com/blogging-idol-2-voting-session-is-open/ and speak to the judges.
@ danny ~ “encouraged” … hopefully not in a pushy obnoxious way! LOL. Thanks you to for supporting me … it means the world to me. *huGs* Suzanne

@ luca ~ I’m sorry … I forgot to mention … if your schedule is tight right now you might want to do a series of posts … where each can be short because they all tie the whole overall concept together … which will still give plenty of good info for your readers. You can also use guest posts inbetween your posts. Another thing is when you do have a chunk of time you can try to power through some writing and then use the post scheduling feature and schedule the posts to go out regularly. Hope it helps and please let me know what I can do to help. *huGs*

You’re just so amazing, Suzanne! I can see that you’re really being motivated to win. But let me touch your heart again. Win or loose, I am for you. I decided to put your blog on my blogroll, but it is not as simple as that. I added you on the My Lifetime Friends, instead of the Top Blogging Blogs. This means that your blog will be there, as long as my blog is living.

Good luck!

Great job voters, I’m glad I didn’t miss the vote. Good luck with the judges, to me you were pretty ingenious.

I just read Daily Blog Tips. I didn’t realize you started this with just 52 subscribers!? You go girlfriend–you are an inspiration to all of us. You took on the big blogs and you showed them the power of moms (or the power of Suzanne). Great going!

I must agree on the creativity thing. I haven’t read many of the other blogs in the competition, but if anyone did anything like your videos or better, I’m sure I would have heard about it!
