What is Social Networking
Social networking sites are multiplying like crazy so let’s take a look at what they are and then you can read about how you might use them to promote and grow your business.
These social sites let you connect with people you know and meet people some new people you don’t know who maybe have similar interests such as hobbies, business, religion, or politics. There are hundreds of social networking sites online today but you’re probably most familiar with some of the more popular sites like MySpace, Facebook or LinkedIn.
Although social networking sites all vary slightly the general idea is to have a place where you register, build a personalized profile page about you and/or your business and then you start interacting with other people who are also registered on the site.
So … you’ve registered and built your profile … now what?
You can share all kinds of information – about you personally, about your business, you can post about your websites, share quotes you love, pictures, videos … anything really.
Want to make new friends and make new connections? You can search profiles by keywords or by geography and find new “friends” to correspond with. Often this will lead to meeting some of their friends too … and so on … and so on … and so on.

Hi … My name is Suzanne Franco (Land) and I’m a wife (newlywed actually) and mother to 5 amazing kids (my 3 and his 2 – ages 9 to 16) and we live in the Texas Hill Country where we try to spend a lot of time in the water (river, boating, wakeboarding, the beach, etc.) and running from one kid’s sporting event to the other (mainly football, cheerleading, and soccer).

Yes its true, social networks are multiplying like crazy. Now its up to us to unleash our creativity and ingenuity to maximize its capacity. Businesses could really profit on this since it is usually free to promote and endorse products without the hassles of paid advertising. Thanks for the post =)
