What’s Up on the Blog in 2009?

What’s Up on the Blog in 2009?

I’ve done some soul searching, some brainstorming, and some planning (during my “break”) and I’m so excited about the ideas I have for the blog this year. I do know that my main focus is helping others become successful, and more importantly, happy!

I want to focus on topics that will help others make money. I will share things that have worked for me … and that haven’t worked … so you can learn valuable lessons from both. I will share the day-to-day things I’m working on and especially the little tips and ideas I have and even the problems I run into … with the solution I found (or if it’s not resolved – I’ll be looking for your help! LOL).

Most, but not all, of my readers are fellow bloggers so many of my topics will be about blogging … but I’ll also be showing bloggers how to expand into other income streams too. I’m huge on not putting all of your eggs into one basket and this is especially true online.

Some sections I’m adding to my blog this year:

  • Quote For Today
  •

  • Tips & Tidbits
  •

  • Healthy, Wealthy & Wise
  •

  • Problem ~ Solution
  •

  • New Faces
  •

  • Qs & As
  •

  • Book Review
  •

  • eBook Review
  •

  • Product Review
  •

  • The Home Front
  •

  • Interviews

I’ll also try to do as many video tutorials as possible and I’m going to shoot for adding audio too for those who are good at multi-tasking and want to listen while they work … or workout.

I love making new friends online so be sure to say “hello” either in the comments section or through my contact form.

What do you think of the new sections I have planned? Are there some you’re more excited about than others? Some that sound … boring? Any other ideas for me? I’m excited about this year … so let’s ALL get going! *SmiLes* Suzanne

P.S. I’m spending some time today working on my goals and making my goal/dream board … I’ll post about it here soon!

Hey Suzanne,
I’m glad you’ll be covering “what hasn’t worked” in addition to what has worked. I think we can often learn as much if not more from our mistakes versus our successes (but keep covering what works too!). And I like the quote for the day idea. A single inspirational sentence is often a quick and great way to start the day.

@ steve ~ i agree we learn as much – if not more – from our mistakes and i’m not shy or embarrassed to share my failures LOL. I enjoy quotes … and we put a writer’s quote of the day in my daily job source newsletter (for freelance writers) and they love it. in fact, every now and then someone will want to cancel and ask if i can still send out the quotes LOL … any time you’re in the area – i’ll get your drink ready! anyone else ever in the hill country (tx) area? let me know … shannon – i know you are … but you’re not of age so i can’t share my special drink with you! ;)

Hi Suzanne
As they say, “content is king” I like the idea of a quote and also book review, problems are only a problem till you get the solution.

Woohoo, fresh stuff! :)

“I’m not shy or embarrassed to share my failures” – we learned that after you fell off the table. LOL ;)

Reviews are always good (when they aren’t slanted) and Qs & As seem to be getting hotter, so it should be cool to see what you do with them. :)

I love how your willingness to actually HELP with specific nuts and bolts type info shines through this whole blog. There’s so much to learn about this whole online marketing thing, that finding a sensible, friendly blog like yours is an absolute blessing. I just know 2009 new look will be highly successful. I do like the idea of letting us know of your mistakes aka learning opportunities so that we all don’t have to reinvent the wheel or fall off the same bus!
Thanks,
Jacqui

Suzanne you just make me happy all the time, especially the part that you blogged about how to make money online every month. It was an eye opener for me and now I do work partly online and try to make ends meet.

I like to see the what “Hasn’t worked” I have a huge list of what hasn’t worked in the past but of course i own and operate two different businesses. I have thrown money away on things that haven’t worked but i take it as a valuable lesson in marketing.
