Hi Suzanne, Seems I'm a little late to this party, as I just found this post today. I am aware of the importance of backlinks and using social media sites to get them. However, I am uncertain of how to do this without each site thinking I'm am spamming it with nothing by my own sites. How do you deal with this potential problem? @ massarella ~ welcome! backlinks are very important to your online success … did you check out the list of social bookmarking sites? http://www.suzannefranco.com/30-do-follow-social-bookmarking-sites. I don’t use every one of them but you’ll probably find your favorites and then try to use those consistently. Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to help!

Listen gang ~ backlinks are a very important part of your marketing campaign and it should be something you work into your routine. If you just don’t have time to do this you can always hire someone (digital forum) to do it for you … just make sure they have good feedback. I’m glad to see some of you are seeing the great results … it takes time but it is “lasting” and worth the effort I promise. *SmiLes* Suzanne

Hi Suzanne

I recently started using Social Bookmarking sites to promote my websites and have found your list of 30 Social Bookmarking sites very useful and, as you know, I have added a few to that list.

I just wanted to report that I am starting to see some benefit from this, with backlinks starting to show and better placement in the search engines. I even have a backlink from Digg.com which is a “no follow”, so not quite sure how that happened. I tend to use Digg, Del.icio.us, Propeller and Stumbleupon to get a page indexed quickly and then I use the “do follow” sites for backlinks.

I have also noticed that both Google and Yahoo index pages that I have bookmarked on mister-wong.com (PR and spicypage.com (PR 4) within a matter of hours – so I get into the search engines very quickly and a high PR backlink at the same time – what could be better! lol.
