I hope everyone had an amazing Holiday season this year … We sure did and I’m so happy to be back to “work.”
Well … I must say … 2008 was an AWESOME year for me and I’m rolling into 2009 and ready to go crazy!
Everything seems to be falling in place for me and I’m so grateful for the year I had. Life went pretty smoothly … both business wise and personally … and I know 2009 is going to be even better.
As far as business goes … I invested a ton of time and energy into my online education and it was well worth it. I’ve learned so much this past year and I’m truly happy to get up and go to “work” for the first time in ages. I’m even ready to start teaching others what I’ve learned and I want to help as many people as possible become truly successful online too.
I must say, winning Blogging Idol was one of the highlights of my year! There are so many reasons for this but first and foremost was proving to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to … and I’ll be carrying that lesson forward into my future.
Personally, I’m also very happy. The kids are all doing so well. We had a great summer, a great football/cheerleading season and school is going very well for everyone … what more could I ask for?
The best parts of 2008:
- We’ve all been pretty healthy and happy
- I’ve done well with all of my online businesses
- I’ve made a name for myself in the blogging world
- I’ve met some awesome people online … and have formed some new friendships out of those connections
- I earned the title, “Blogging Idol,” and proved to myself that I could do anything I set my mind to
- We had a really fun summer … the best I can remember
- All of my kids are doing well in school this year … Yes!
- I started playing tennis again … after a long break from the sport
Looking forward to for 2009:
- Making a full-time income through my blogging and my affiliate marketing
- Teaching a lot of people how to make money blogging through my Blogging for Bucks BootCamp
- Keeping all of the kids on track with their grades and their sports
- Having another amazing summer
- Getting into better shape and maintaining optimal health
- Doing some serious goal setting and enjoying life as I achieve (or exceed) my goals (I’ll post them here soon)
I want to take a minute to thank each and every one of you who read the blog and who comment and send me email. It sure makes coming to “work” every day super fun! I look forward to growing the friendships I’ve made and to making many more.

What up WAHM! Glad to hear your success story! Very proud of you and i’ve watched you and have seen the confidence build and the talents grow!
I had a great year myself in 2008 and i’m also excited about what 2009 will bring! I still have quite a bit to learn and speaking of which, i need to contact you and get some help on a few things hahaha!

@monty ~ yes, PR3 is great! i had 3 on the main site … but i also did very well with some of my deep pages … which benefits my commenters too!

@ steve ~ yes, i’ll be posting regularly and i’m totally excited to be back to “work.” well, vodka red bulls are our drink of choice (esp the sugar free version) and we can sure put them down – during boating season we enjoy them out on the boat on party cove (here locally) or year-round down at the “coast” in port aransas (about 3 hrs). we stay at a place on the beach – where we can sit in the hot tub and stumble to the beach and back. LOL come on out and we’ll hook you up for your first v/rb! i’ll be posting actual goals here soon – and as for those floors – mental note to self DO NOT GET DARK HARDWOOD FLOORS IN THE HILL COUNTRY WITH WHITE DIRT! They are so pretty when they are clean but within hours *sigh* funny thing is I told the kids i should’ve cleaned the floors before those pics – maybe the many bodies laying on the floor for the photo shoot “cleaned” them

@ brian ~ hey thanks! i was raised in a very positive upbeat family where we were taught to avoid the word no and not and can’t and such – and to always look for the alternate wording using the positive version – i really hope i’m teaching my kids the same! we get the “brady bunch” a lot – 3 are mine and 2 are his and i would love to have alice! wouldn’t have to deal with my floors any more! LOL

That was really a nice family photo I must say. One of my friend told me that you are also teaching people how to make money online.
Are you charging any money for that ? Because I have lost around $1500 to many people who promised to teach me and never give satisfactory lesson.

Hi Suzanne, congratulations on your successes in 2008… I hope you get all you want this year and onwards. Thanks for the great tips and information. In 2008, there were so many great things that happen to me – I got a full-time job that pays me more than what I asked for, graduated from my bachelor’s degree with flying colors, enjoyed great summer and holidays with my family and my significant other, and got started with intensive self development. From the start of 2009, I was able to get to my best shape and have helped a lot of other people get to their goals like having more energy, revitalized/rejuvenated self, getting rid of fats and gaining lean muscle, and more romance
I’m so excited for 2009 and onwards! I’ve met wonderful and positive, successful people who are helping me out in my own business. What I want to accomplish in 2009? To know more people and develop lasting relationships with them… I want to help other people achieve better health, increased wealth, and true freedom.
